Access Service

SGNL - Architecture

SGNL seamlessly integrates with Systems of Record using resilient and high-performance adapters, ingesting relevant data into a central graph directory. This data encompasses all information pertinent to defining organizational policies, including identity data such as users and groups from Okta or Entra ID, as well as other organizational details from CRM systems, ticket/case management systems, and so on. Protected Systems, make authorization requests using our Access APIs to SGNL’s Access Service.

The Access Service is a collection of APIs, all geared to provide critical services to the systems calling them. Primarily, the Access Service is focused first-and-foremost on connecting inbound requests to the SGNL Policy Engine, evaluating the parameters of the request in real-time.

Beyond its interaction with the Policy Engine, the Access Service provides a varied set of functions that are suitable for any Enterprise Access Management use-case. The suite of capabilities provided by the Access Service depend on which of the APIs you choose to interact with (or in which order) to solve your use-case.
